Attachments

File attachments can be a Word document, PDF, graphic file or spreadsheet.

Highlight the reference or open it. Go to References>File Attachments>Attach File. Navigate to the file required. Click Open.

An attached PDF will now appear in the PDF preview pane when the reference is highlighted.

To another type of attached file, double click on the reference, scroll down to the File Attachments field and double click on the file icon. These references can now be identified in your library by the paper clip icon.

To insert a figure, open the reference by double-clicking, then select the 'insert figure' icon at the top of the dialogue box   insert figure icon   Select the graphic file you wish to insert and click Open.  The figure will appear as a thumbnail in the Figure field.

EndNote also allows you to import  and create references from PDF files.
