Copying and deleting records Print Page

Copying a reference

There may be times when you wish to copy a reference, for example when entering several chapters from the same book. To do this, highlight the reference in the library, then copy and paste.

Then it is only necessary to alter the reference type and the author/title details of each chapter.

Deleting a reference

There are a few ways of moving a reference to the trash. Once you have clicked on and highlighted the reference you can:

  1. Right click and then select Move Reference to Trash.
  2. Or, go to References > Move References to Trash or Ctrl+D
  3. Or, click and drag the reference into the trash. The Trash is at the top left of the screen.

To delete the references in the trash forever, click and highlight trash, then right click and select Empty Trash.

Or you can choose to restore to library: in the Trash, highlight the reference then right click. Select Restore to Library.
