Downloading EndNote Print Page

How do I get EndNote?

The latest version currently available at UNE is EndNote X7 for both Macs and Windows computers. EndNote is available to all UNE staff and enrolled students, and can be installed by direct download from the IT site.

Compatibility requirements

The Library supports EndNote X7.

Macintosh system/hardware requirements and word processor compatibility can be found at http://endnote.com/en/requirements.

There is some further compatibility information that those using OS Mavericks (version 10.9) or Yosemite (version 10.10) should check: http://endnote.com/kb/129914

Installing EndNote for MAC

- Go to the download site

- Select the MAC version

- Open the download file with DiskImageMounter

Drag the EndNote folder across to the Applications folder (see below).

View the Getting Started slides, or click Start your Research with EndNote to go straight to the program.

Start your research

At other times EndNote can be opened using Finder to locate the program in Applications, or by using Finder to locate your library in Documents. EndNote library files are identified by the .enl file extension.
