NHMRC (National Health and Medical Research Council)

The NHMRC's revised policy on the Dissemination of Research Findings "requires that any publications arising from an NHMRC supported research project must be deposited into an open access institutional repository within a twelve month period from the date of publication".

This requirement applies to all research outputs accepted for publication after 1 July 2012.

The Chief Investigator A (CIA) on any NHMRC funded research must submit the following information to UNE's repository e-publications@UNE:

  • publication metadata (i.e. journal name, title, author list, volume, issue, page numbers etc) as soon as possible after the paper is accepted for publication
  • the manuscript/journal articvle as soon as possible after publication (this can be the final accepted manuscript post-peer review or the published version)
