Publishers' Permission

Publishers sometimes permit certain uses of content from a text book if it is the unit's prescribed text.  The publisher may also provide additional resources to support use of the text. These resources may be marked by the publisher - for example (c) 2012 Educational Publishers Australia - and if so, you should not remove the statement.  If the publisher content is not already marked, it is advisable to do so - for example '(c) Name of Publisher' used with permission - in order to distinguish this content from UNE's.

If you wish to do more with the content than is permitted in the agreement or may be considered reasonable, (for example you want to modify the content) you should seek permission from the Publisher or their local educational agent.

Keeping a note of the permission, preferably with your unit's administration, will assist you and future unit coordinators to manage compliance.
